Saturday Sampler: U-M Kelsey Museum of Archaeology
Apr. 13, 20, & 27. Docent-led tours. Apr. 13: “Highlights of the Egyptian Collection” features Egyptian artifacts from the Predynastic through the Roman eras. Apr. 20: “Glass Highlights of the Kelsey Museum” traces the development of glass from its discovery in Mesopotamia, through its manufacture in Egypt, to its emergence as a commodity in the Roman world. Apr. 27: “Highlights of the Kelsey Museum” explores the most significant artifacts from the museum's Greek, Roman, Egyptian, and Middle Eastern collections. 2–3 p.m., Kelsey Museum, 434 S. State.
