“A Story of Community”: Washtenaw Community Concert Band
William Perrine and past conductors Chris Heidenreich, Jerry Robbins, and Amy Sierzega conduct this 70-member ensemble in a variety of favorite tunes and selections from the band’s past repertoire, including compositions by David R. Gillingham, Julie Giroux, Carol Brittin Chambers, Alfred Reed, Henry Fillmore, and Percy Grainger. The program features the band’s concerto competition winner, Pioneer High School student Ian Chung, in Reinecke's Concerto in D Major for Flute and Wind Band.
