Feb. 5: Love, murder, and magic double feature, starting with “Death Becomes Her” (Robert Zemeckis, 1992), a satirical black comedy starring Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn as rivals for the same man, played by Bruce Willis. They drink a magic potion that has unpleasant side effects. Followed by “The Love Witch” (Anna Biller, 2016), a comedy horror film about a modern-day witch who uses magic to cause men to fall in love with her, with disastrous results.
