“Wonder Walks”: U-M Matthaei Botanical Gardens

Nov. 2, 12, & 16. One-hour to 90-minute nature walks led by Matthaei naturalists, sometimes preceded by a brief presentation. Kids must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather.

Nov. 2 (1–2 p.m.): “Fall Foray,” a trail walk to look for nuts, dried flowers, dried leaves, and other materials to make a fall bouquet to take home.

Nov. 12 (5:30–6:30 p.m.): “Fall Fragrances,” a walk in the conservatory to examine spice plants and a chance to make a scent sachet.

Nov. 16 (1–2 p.m.): “Feathered Friends,” a trail walk to look for and learn about winter birds. Arrival 10 minutes early recommended.
