“Why Plant Native Plants?”: Hudson Mills Metropark Interpretive Nature Programs.
Adults and kids age 10 and up invited to join in learning about planting with native Michigan plants to beautify your yard, reduce maintenance, and support local bird, insect, and wildlife populations. Also, find out what species work best for different yard conditions. 1–2 p.m., Hudson Mills Metropark, Activity Center, 8801 North Territorial Rd., Dexter, $5 ($3 kids).
