Nov. 7: “Making ‘MENA’: Histories of the ‘Middle East,’ Race, and the U.S. Census.” Armenian General Benevolent Union lead historian Thomas Simsarian Dolan discusses how recent revisions to the U.S. census race and ethnicity standards excludes Armenians and other transnational indigenous groups.
Nov. 21: Yerevan State University (Armenia) sociology professor Artur Atanesyan on “Needs of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the Context of Contemporary Political Processes and Social Modernization Trends.”
