The Midwest Swing Set: Kerrytown Concert House
The Chicago husband-and-wife duo of jazz singer Petra van Nuis and guitarist Andy Brown “share a gift for melody and have plenty of rhythmic confidence,” says a DownBeat critic. “They project naturalness when phrasing, and their overall intelligence makes understatement and subtlety virtues.” Tonight they are backed by 2 local jazz veterans, bassist Paul Keller and drummer Pete Siers, in a program of vintage swing tunes. 7:30 p.m., KCH, 415 N.
