“The Infinite Detail of This Place & Time”: Parable Path A2Ypsi Community Read/University Musical Society.
A collaboration between experimental urban nature guide Bridget F. Quinn (also known as the A.W.E. Society) and Virago, an improvisatory chamber quartet founded in 2018 when its members were U-M music students. Its instrumentation includes cello, saxophone, violin, and percussion. Audience members are invited to forage around the Ypsi Freighthouse for items to be made into assemblages from which the improvising musicians can take their inspiration.
