“The Big Little Fair”: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washtenaw County.:

n afternoon of family-friendly activities and music at Riverside Arts Center and Ypsilanti District Library. On the Main Stage at Riverside Arts Center: Jazz by the Ypsilanti Youth Symphony Orchestra Jazz Ensemble (noon), a Kids’ Variety Hour (1 p.m.) by various local family bands, intergenerational hip-hop by Formula 734 (2:30 p.m.), and house bands from the Schools of Rock (3 p.m.) in Canton and Ann Arbor. Also, acrobatics, stage fights, and fire twirling by the Ring of Steel Action Theatre between sets. At the RAC Theater: Dance tutorial (noon), with Bichini Bia Congo Dance Theatre, improv and theater games (12:45 p.m.) with Center Stage Productions, Jedi lightsaber training (1:30 p.m.) with Theatrica Gladiatoria, a step class (2:15 p.m.) with Stepping Into Sisterhood, and more. A Parents Plaza at the Ypsilanti District Library offers games for kids and the chance for parents to learn about various local family support organizations.
