“Tchaikovsky 4”: Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra.

Guest conductor Earl Lee, currently associate conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, directs the A2SO and three soloists–pianist Gloria Chien, violinist Soovin Kim, and cellist Paul Watkins–in Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4, Beethoven’s Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Piano in C major, and Carlos Simon’s Fate Now Conquers, a 2020 composition inspired by an 1815 entry in Beethoven’s journal that references motifs from Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7. Pre-concert talk with Earl Lee at 7 p.m. 8 p.m., Hill Auditorium. Mask & proof of vaccination (or negative Covid test within past 72 hours) required.
