“Read and Look”: U-M Kelsey Museum of Archaeology
Sept. 10 (2–3 p.m.). A reading of Julie Appel and Amy Guglielmo’s children’s book Tickle Tut’s Toes, followed by the chance for kids ages 4-7 (accompanied by an adult) to explore the museum’s Egyptian collection to find articles pictured in the book, like a miniature boat, desk and pens, sandals, painted hieroglyphs, real ancient food, and Egyptian jewelry. Also, replica artifacts for kids to touch, take-home scavenger hunt, Egyptian hieroglyphs ID sheet, and a game board for the ancient Egyptian game senet. Kelsey Museum, 434 S. State.
