“A Tribute to Cole Porter”: Ellen Rowe’s All About the Trio (Kerrytown Concert House).
Lecture-demo by U-M jazz piano professor Rowe, who explores some of Cole Porter’s best-loved pieces, including “Love for Sale,” “Everything I Love,” “Begin the Beguine,” and “I Love You,” and discusses why jazz players have chosen so many of them to use as vehicles for improvisation.
