“Music in the Park”: Ann Arbor Civic Band Summer Concert Series
Every Wed. June 12–July 17 (except June 26). A popular local outdoor summer tradition, the 92-year-old Civic Band is directed by J. Nick Smith. Bring a picnic and blanket and relax on the grass. Tonight: “Around the World,” a mix of popular band and classical music works, including Ryan Lindveit’s A2 Overture, Sousa’s “Hands Across the Sea,” Gustav Holst’s First Suite in F, Robert Smith’s Suite from the Star Wars Epic, Part II, John Barnes Chance’s Variations on a Korean Folksong, and more.
