“Gordon Hall Days”: Dexter Area Historical Society and Museum.:
Sept. 10 & 11. Guided tours of historic Gordon Hall and its newly renovated milk house, the property’s only surviving original outbuilding. Displays and demonstrations of preindustrial crafts, including blacksmithing, spinning, and weaving. An elaborate layout of model trains from the Model Railroad club, live farm animal displays, and more. Sat. only: an antique and classic car show (11 a.m.–4 p.m.) and a suffragette tea and fashion show (1 p.m., $10, reservations recommended at 395–4106), with tea, desserts, and a show of early 20th-century fashions by designer Helen Welford that show how style reflected the women’s movement.
