Funky Rivertown Fest: Linden Thoburn Trio and Billy King Band!: Roof Top Arts
The Funky Rivertown Fest is a new, five-day festival in downtown Ypsilanti dedicated to original music. The carefully curated program includes many Detroit Music Award winners and nominees playing across a wide variety of genres.
Come celebrate the closing of this first biannual festival, featuring the Linden Thoburn Trio and the Billy King Band.
Linden Thoburn's songs are deeply moving examinations of the human condition. Her trio highlights the expressive quality of each song. A relative new-comer, Linden has already made a splash, performing at Broken Branch, Wheatland, and The Ark.
Billy King is a founder of the beloved Holler Fest, and a performer of renown on both a lyrical and musical front. He gathers some of the very finest collaborators to take you on a musically adventurous journey with lyrics evoking the common threads that bind us all.
