Demonstration Prescribed Burn - Buhr Park Children's Wet Meadow Project site
March 28 22nd annual "Wet Meadow Burn": Buhr Park Children's Wet Meadow.
City parks natural area program staff conduct the annual prescribed burn of the wet meadows. "It's quite a sight--my daughter has gone to prescribed burns since age 2 and loves them," says one parent. "I think it's quite safe for kids of any age if they're with a parent." In case of rain or high humidity, the burn is postponed until March 29th or later. See www.wetmeadow.org for updates.
