“Curling Fest”: Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce.
All invited to join a 4-player team or bring their own for a 1-hour session of curling instruction followed by a short informal scrimmage. This team sport is nicknamed “the roaring game” for the rumbling sound the 44-lb. granite stone makes as it slides across the ice. Pizza, salad, & pop. Spectators welcome. 8–11 p.m., Arctic Coliseum, 501 Coliseum Dr., Chelsea. Tickets $30 per person (buffet & open skate only, $15) in advance at a2tix.com and at the door. 475–1145.
