Chelsea Sounds & Sights Festival: Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce.:

July 29 & 30. The festival features a food court on W. Middle Street (Fri. 5–10 p.m. & Sat. noon–10 p.m.) with food from several Chelsea restaurants, a chalk art exhibition and contest on W. Middle Street (10 a.m.–5 p.m.), a KidZone (10 a.m.–3 p.m.) with a variety of activities at Chelsea Palmer Commons (304 S. Main St.), an art market all weekend on the Chelsea District Library lawn, and a social tent ($10 cover, 6-11 p.m.) behind the Common Grill with beer & wine and live music. Tonight’s social tent music: the local honky-tonk band Bovine and the versatile local horn-fired funk sextet Sabbatical Bob. Also, today only, a classic car show (3-8 p.m.) on Middle, East, and Harrison streets, with live R&B and funk music from B!G L & Code Blü (4:30–7 p.m.) at E. Middle & East.
