George Thompson conducts this annual outdoor performance, now in its 23rd year, of holiday carols on tubas, euphoniums, sousaphones, and baritone horns. One of many outdoor concerts held this month across the nation and in Canada in memory of TubaChristmas founder Harvey Phillips. Musicians ($10) invited to bring an instrument and a music stand (with clothespins) to join around 40 players in the performance. Registration (9:30 a.m.) and rehearsal (10 a.m.-noon) at the EMU Alexander Music Bldg., East Circle Dr., Ypsilanti. Bring a sack lunch, dress for the weather.
