Amanda Alexander: U-M School of Art & Design Penny Stamps Speaker Series.

This racial justice lawyer and historian discusses her collaborations with community-based movements to end mass incarceration and build thriving and inclusive cities. The founding director of Detroit Justice Center, Alexander also helped facilitate an Inside-Out Prison Exchange program between U-M students and local prisons, and launched the Family Justice Project at U-M Law School to provide legal representation to incarcerated parents. 5:30 p.m., Michigan Theater.
