9th Annual Broken Branch Breakdown”: Broken Branch Summer Series.:

Daylong showcase of area musical acts, culminating in a bonfire and open jam. Bring your instruments if you like, as well as a chair or blanket to sit, and things to eat. Gas grill on site. No pets. With performances by the local acoustic string jam quintet Back Forty, improvisational folk-rock and soul singer-songwriter (and event co-organizer) Adam Labeaux, world-renowned veteran local harmonica wiz Peter Madcat Ruth’s all-star traditional and improvisational ensemble C.A.R.Ma Quartet,  local wife-and-husband folk-rock singer-songwriter duo Annie & Rod Capps,  local acoustic roots fiddler Colin Murphy, the Ypsilanti alt-rock band Head Full of Ghosts, and the Murphatonians, a band made up of members of a Ypsilanti family that plays a diverse range of hits.
