The Hot Club is an Austin-based acoustic trio-- guitarist Whit Smith, violinist Elana James, and upright bassist Jake Erwin-- that plays an eclectic mix of 1920s jazz standards, western swing tunes, cowboy songs, fiddle tunes, originals, and offbeat covers The Vagabonds is a Minneapolis Americana quintet fronted by the high- powered vocals of singer-songwriter Davina Sowers that plays a brand of high-energy horn-based blues. $35.
Blue LLama: Lunar Octet
Reunion of this popular local 1980s & 1990s instrumental ensemble that plays original music featuring delicious jazz harmonies and melodies set to a variety of rhythms, including salsas & sambas, African high-life, jump tunes, and big band swing.
Zal Gaz Grotto: Keller/Kocher Quartet.
Straight-ahead jazz by this top-notch local ensemble led by vibes player Kocher and bassist Keller. With guest vocalist Sarah D'Angelo. 8-10 p.m.
