Ann Arbor Distilling Co.: Dr. Pete Larson & His Cytotoxic Nyatiti Band
Self-styled "East Africanesque futurist lyre jams" by this trio led by local singer-string musician Larson who plays the nyatiti, an 8- stringed lyre native to the Siaya region of western Kenya, where he studied under one of the last masters of the instrument, Mzee Oduor Nyagweno. With guitarist Fred Thomas and drummer Tom Hohmann.

Zou Zou's Cafe: Dave Boutette
Veteran local folk-rock singer-guitarist whose genial songs about the small ups and downs of ordinary life draw on a range of influences from Chuck Berry to Bob Dylan to Paul Westerberg. He performs with his wife, singer Kristi Davis, a former Radio City Rockette.
