Old Town: Midwest Territory Band
Local acoustic trio led by blues-oriented vocalist and guitar virtuoso Rollie Tussing. With bassist Serge van der Voo and percussionist Jim Carey.
Ravens Club: "Sol Jazz Sundays."
A house band--trumpeter Ingrid Racine, keyboardist Michael Malis, bassist Josef Deas, & drummer Jesse Kramer--is joined by a different guest each week. Tonight: TBA.
Ypsi Alehouse: Eric Moore
Veteran local singer-songwriter known for his playfully ironic lyrics and jazz- and blues-inflected fingerstyle guitar playing. 8-10 p.m.
Zal Gaz Grotto: Phil Ogilvie's Rhythm Kings
This local 10-piece big band is one of the few to specialize in the old- time big-band music of the late 1920s and early 1930s associated with Jelly Roll Morton and King Oliver. Arrangements by the renowned early-jazz pianist James Dapogny and tubaist Chris Smith.
