This daylong contemporary classical music festival features performances by the local bass-violin duo Warren & Flick (noon), local saxophonists Hannah Hickman & BethAnne Kunert (1:05 p.m.), the local string quartet Room 1078 (2:10 p.m.), the Detroit cello-voice duo Juxtatonal (3:15 p.m.), and local cellist Joshua DeVries (4:20 p.m.).

"Music in the Park": Ann Arbor Civic Band Summer Concert Series.

Every Wed. June 19-July 24. A popular local outdoor summer tradition, the 83-year-old Civic Band is led by director Bob Gourley. Bring a picnic and blanket and relax on the grass. Lemonade and popcorn available.

June 19: "On the March." With marches by Sousa, Mancini, Leroy Anderson, and 19th-century Czech military band conductor Julius Fucik, aka "the Bohemian Sousa." 8 p.m.

June 26: "Around the Band." Various band instruments are spotlighted performing songs composed especially for them. 8 p.m.

July 3: "American Celebration." Program of patriotic tunes. 8 p.m.

July 10: "Children's Concert." A program of music picked for kid appeal, including the annual Teddy Bear Grand March (bring your bear). 8 p.m.

July 17: "Let's Fall in Love." A program of love songs, including tunes from Beauty and the Beast and West Side Story.

July 24: "Pop Icons." Musical tribute to Elvis, Frank Sinatra, the Beach Boys, the Beatles, and Motown.
