The Ann Arbor ballot includes races for city council, school board, and county commissioner, along with several state and national offices. Also, City of Ann Arbor proposals to designate the city-owned "Library Lot" as an urban park, to amend the process for filling a vacant council seat, and to renew a parks maintenance millage, and a Washtenaw County proposal to renew the county parks & recreation millage. Also, state proposals to legalize and tax recreational use of marijuana, to create an independent redistricting commission to eliminate partisan gerrymandering, and to change election rules to make registration and voting easier, including universal absentee voting and the restoration of straight-ticket voting.
Polls are open 7 a.m.-8 p.m. If you are unsure about where to vote or need information about absentee ballots, call the county clerk at 994-2503.
