U-M Museum of Natural History Planetarium & Dome Theater.
Daily. Three different audiovisual planetarium shows suitable for all ages. Expedition Reef (12:30 p.m.) reveals the secrets of the “rainforests of the sea,” the world’s most vibrant and endangered marine ecosystems. The Sky Tonight (1:30 & 3:30 p.m.) is an exploration of the current night sky, with tips on how to find the cardinal directions, constellations, and planets on your own. Tales of the Maya Skies (2:30 p.m.) immerses viewers in the wonders of Mayan science, examining how Maya scholars developed a sophisticated understanding of astronomy, architecture, and mathematics that enabled them to predict solstices, solar eclipses, weather patterns, and planetary movements. Nurture in Reverse- a drawing installation by Emily Considine: Creal Microgallery
Creal Microgallery presents "Nurture in Reverse," an installation of drawings by New York-based artist Emily Considine. These pieces draw inspiration from subway car advertisements hawking wellness and self-improvement products, with promises of magical cures and brighter futures.

“Preschool Hike: Coyote Pulls Down the Stars”: Washtenaw County Parks & Recreation Commission.
Kids ages 2–5 invited to listen to WCPARC naturalist Shawn Severance recount the myth of how trickster Coyote worked with First Woman to put the constellations in the sky, and learn about the real coyotes that come out after dark at Rolling Hills. 25th Annual Milan Bluegrass Festival.
Aug. 2-6. Four days of bluegrass music performed by leading regional and national performers. Today: The venerable acoustic bluegrass group The Special Consensus (6:30 p.m.) and Grammy-nominated Nashville-based modern bluegrass band The Grascals (8:15 p.m.). Farm Tours: Raindance Organic Farm.
Aug. 2 & 9. Raindance co-owner Kristen Muehlhauser leads tours focused on the over 35 kinds of fruits and vegetables (Aug. 2) or the 50 kinds of annual and perennial flowers (Aug. 9) the farm produces year-round organically using caterpillar tunnels, trellising, and other tools and techniques.
