Ann Arbor Jewish Film Festival.
Annual festival of documentary and feature films on Jewish themes. Featuring 5 different films each week available to stream anytime. June 19, noon through June 24, noon (online): “The Adventures of Saul Bellow” (Asaf Galay, 2021). Documentary tracing the life of this noted Jewish American novelist and public intellectual. “Kiss Me Kosher” (Shirel Peleg, 2021). Romantic comedy about an engaged German and Israeli lesbian couple and their families as they make preparations for their wedding. “Wet Dog” (Damir Lukacevic, 2021). Drama following a teenage Jewish-Iranian immigrant and his family as they navigate secular society in Berlin. “Muranow” (Chen Shelach, 2021). Documentary examining this neighborhood, the Warsaw Ghetto during WWII, and how its current residents grapple with its dark past. “Shorts I” A program of short films exploring the topics of community, education, and traditions. Commandment 613 (Miriam Lewin, 2020). Documentary following a Torah scribe who restores scrolls saved from the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia. The Inspection (Caroline Brami & Frédéric Bas, 2021). Drama about a history teacher facing a school inspector. 263 Nights (Irina Tarasova, 2021). Animated documentary that tells the story of 26 Jews who went into hiding following the elimination of the Minsk ghetto. Beregovsky #136 (Yoav Potash, 2021). Evocative short that combines a recent live performance of klezmer music collected by Soviet Jewish ethnomusicologist Moshe Beregovsky with archival footage of prewar Jewish life. With Slight Steps (Guy Hodes, 2018). Instrumental Music Camp: Macon Creek
The Summer Arts Camp at Macon Creek is a series of four 1-week intensive youth programs in instrumental music, visual & applied arts, theatre & dance and vocal arts with a curriculum that integrates art, innovation and sustainability. Instrumental Music Camp (June 20-24) is for students interested in full orchestra, chamber music, and jazz. Instruments include strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, piano, bass, drums. Large ensemble, small group coaching and private lessons. Guest lectures in music, technology & social media, improvisation & composition, careers in music. Opportunities to explore the walking paths, pond, expansive fields and creek flowing through Macon Creek’s 215-acre campus. Grades 6-12, intermediate to advanced players. Not suitable for beginners. Technical Theatre Camp
Technical theatre camp for kids in grades 4-12. Campers can expect a week of adventure, fun, packed with tech theatre skills, , knowledge, trivia, games and performance. The camp ends with a show and strike party.

Ann Arbor Soccer Association - Start of Summer Session
AASA offers adult recreational outdoor soccer to individuals 18+ at any skill level. AASA board members create the teams, so you as a player do not need to worry about finding a team to play on!
Register at aasaweb.org! The Summer session starts June 20th and lasts 8 weeks long.
Four leagues are offered every season:
- Full Field Coed(11v11) on Tuesday nights
- 7v7 Coed on Monday & Wednesday
- 7v7 Coed on Tuesday & Thursday
- 7v7 Women's league on Monday & Wednesday (or just once a week Monday/Wednesday)
Games start at 6:30 pm. 7v7 games are played at Fuller park and 11v11 games are played at Olson park.
Annual membership fee: $25
7v7 seasonal registration: $105
11v11 seasonal registration: $85
Women's single day seasonal registration: $57
