Concerto Competition Finals: U-M Music School
Jan. 4 & 5. Student undergraduate (Jan. 4) and graduate (Jan. 5) performers from the U-M piano, voice, wind, percussion, and string departments, eight soloists per evening, perform competition concertos with a pianist. These 16 performers were chosen in fall of 2022 from dozens of competitors; of the 16, 4 are chosen to perform with one of the school’s orchestras in 2023-2024. The winner is announced in the lobby each evening. 4–8 p.m., Hill Auditorium. Free. 764–0583.
