Feb. 5–9. Actress-comedian Natalie Palamides dons male drag to embody Nate, a lovably idiotic hypermasculine “douchebag” who struggles with his own emotions and needles the audience into wrestling with the subtleties of sexual consent. The show careens between humor and discomfort while it deconstructs toxic masculinity. The Guardian called a “gloriously ridiculous… raucous drag king floorshow.” The show premiered to wide acclaim at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival before Amy Poehler produced it as a Netflix special in 2020. Adult language and themes, nudity. Today’s show is followed by a Q&A with the artist. 7:30 p.m. (Wed., Thurs., Fri., & Sat.), 2 p.m. (Sat. & Sun.), Arthur Miller Theatre, 1226 Murfin. $40 (students, $15-$20). (734) 764–2538.

Gear Lords is a hardware / live-set showcase of local and regional musicians. Its really a DAW-less jamming performance meet-up typically using gear like samplers, beat machines, synths (incl modular) but also we get into other gear, too! It's a show, but also a good place to learn more about what's going on in the community related to experimental electronic music or live-sets' shows, or equipment or to find collabs. Ziggys has a great sound system, and is very welcoming.

We have 5 acts for this show:
