Has someone placed a curse on 305 S. Main? Following in the footsteps of predecessor Oasis Cafe, trendy coffeeshop BeanBerry Cafe closed just two months after opening, and weeks after we wrote about it in our January issue.

A post on the cafe’s Facebook page noted: “We are sad to announce that we’ve had to close our doors. Thank you to everyone who’s shown us love and support since we opened. We’d also like to give a big thank you to our amazing staff for always going above and beyond for us as well as our customers.” Owners Wes and Issa Baiz did not respond to a request for comment.

BeanBerry generated early buzz for its “bubble waffle cones” and “selfieccino” machine–the latter a timely tie-in to January’s Fake Ad.
