June 2019 Fake Ad
by Jay Forstner
From the July, 2019 issue
Nearly 200 people correctly identified the Fake Ad for the Slumber Doctor on page 59 of the June issue.
That included one entry from a contestant we might just hire to be our agent. "The Fake Ad is on page 59 for the Slumber Doctor (of Chiropractic) and the Crazy Factory Second Mattress Sale," wrote David Karl. "I don't know how you do it coming up with these Fake Ads every month. I would be in a state of panic for the entire month wondering what to do. Then at the last minute, right before the deadline, throw something together and hope the editor okays it. Then realize I have to start all over again for the next month.
"Whatever they are paying you, it's probably not enough. Keep up the good work. It always brings a smile to my face."
Another entrant offered a bit of sage advice: "Never cheap out on something that goes between you and the ground," wrote Danny Tai. "Tires, shoes, and mattresses. So avoid the Slumber Doctor's factory seconds."
Dan Romanchik was chosen as our winner. He's taking his gift certificate to Downtown Home & Garden.
To enter this month's contest, find the fake ad in July's issue and follow the instructions in the box at the bottom of the Back Page. The fake ad always contains the name of last month's winner in some form.
