Kayak's Fate Uncertain

Mill Creek outdoor Adventure Center remains on hold.

From the September, 2017 issue

Nate Pound's stunning series of accomplishments in bringing the Mill Creek Outdoor Adventure Center to life ran into some heavy whitewater, detailed in the Community Observer's summer issue ("Logjam at Mill Creek"). The project is still stalled, possibly for good. Though the Huron-Clinton Metroparks did eventually offer to deal with him to take out his kayaks, Pound says that, with the summer half over by then, his business plan was irreparably damaged. "We may resume the project in the future, but are weighing all options ... I am considering working with other investors and have chatted with a couple [of] people."     (end of article)
