Joe's Pizza Opens
Authentic New York pizza on South U
From the November, 2019 issue
Joe's Pizza, a well-known local chain out of New York City, has opened its first non-New York location at South University and Forest. According to New York Magazine, Joe's thin, foldable pizzas deliver "the quintessential New York slice," with a simple menu: full-size or by-the-slice pizza and a variety of sodas. In addition to regular thin-crust, customers can also order pies with slices of fresh mozzarella, or square Sicilian pizza (the parent of Detroit-style angular pan pizzas).
Joe's Pizza, 1111 South University. (734) 213-5625. Hours subject to change: Tue.-Sat. noon-2 a.m., Sun. noon-midnight. Closed Mon. joespizzanyc.com
