Glasshouse Brewing Closes
With Townies Brewery on deck
From the June, 2018 issue
Glasshouse Brewing closed quietly in early March, less than two years after its June 2016 opening. The building at Liberty and S. Maple containing both the brewery and window installers Diamond Glass & Feiners had been on the market since November.
The Payeur family, who owned the property and both businesses, are looking for a new location to house Diamond Glass & Feiners, but an employee told us Glasshouse is gone for good.
Those worried about the loss of one of three nearby breweries (the others being HOMES on Jackson and Wolverine on Stadium) can rest at ease: a sign announcing the upcoming Townies Brewery went up on the newly painted building in early May.
