We received ninety-two entries correctly identifying the May Fake Ad for Ann Arbor Discount Travel, including this one from Dave Moore: “Third time through, I realized: There are no travel agencies anymore! Good one, and neat embedding of the name. The Ann Arbor Discount Travel Agency ad on page 72 is, sadly, a fake. Used to be you could walk in and buy an airplane ticket, a physical ticket! No more.”

“Can it be so easy?”

Janna Polgar wrote. “Misspelled Nickels Arcade, phone number to Michigan Theater, non-existent travel agency, last name of the April winner buried in travel destinations of Turks and Caicos, Borneo.”

And Richard Norman provided another edifying response, along with the question, “Are you old enough to recall when Conlin Travel was in the Nickels Arcade?” The answer is yes, of course. The Czar even remembers when Boersma Travel was there. And the post office. And the newsstand.

Our winner was Silvia Ruiz (see I Spy, above). She’s taking her gift certificate to KouZina.

To enter this month’s contest, find the fake ad in the June issue and follow the instructions in the box at the bottom of the Back Page. The fake ad always contains the name of last month’s winner in some form.
