Would you like to immerse yourself in Russian/Ukrainian heritage without buying an airplane ticket? Come to the 6th annual Ann Arbor Russian Festival on September 15th and 16th!

Festivities will open with a bell-ringing ceremony, and include a whole array of family-friendly activities, including a petting zoo and children’s corner with Russian folk themed activities. Treat yourself to the music and traditional folk dances, and entertainment from Ann Arbor and around the world.

Kebab, pelmeni, pirozhki (not to be confused with pierogies), borscht and other traditional Russian foods will be served. Wait until you see the dessert! The tearoom will be serving tea from TeaHaus and coffee from Mighty Good Coffee. Enjoy some Russian tea, a Russian soda, or kvass! For guests over 21, an infused vodka tasting contest will be held and a cash bar will be available.

If you need a break from the bustle, you can enjoy a tour of St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Church on the grounds of which the event will be held. Imported candies, homemade toys, matryoshka dolls, jewelry, and other souvenirs are sold onsite by local vendors for anyone who would like a keepsake by which to remember the event.

All are welcome, and admission is free!
