2019 Winterfest Raises $120,000
On Feb. 23, 37 University of Michigan fraternities and sororities came together for the annual "Winterfest" philanthropy event, where thousands of students participate in a day-long broomball tournament. Planned primarily by the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity and hosted at Pi Kappa Alpha, the event raised $120,000 for Autism Alliance of Michigan (AAoM). "The national record for an on-campus fundraiser is $130,000," said fraternity Event Coordinator Connor Roach. "We have every intention of exceeding that goal next year."
