Apr. 27 (11 a.m.): "Live! Birds of Prey." Howell Nature Center representatives present a program on birds of prey that includes displays of live hawks, owls, falcons, and vultures. $5 (kids, $3).

May 12 (1 p.m.): "Mother's Day Wildflower Walk." A hike to look for spring wildflowers.

May 18 (7:30 a.m.): "Bird Hike." A hike to look for birds in a variety of habitats. Bring binoculars and a field guide.

June 22 (11 a.m.): "No Child Left Inside: Amazing Amphibians." Discussion and display of live specimens of frogs, toads, and salamanders, followed by a hike to a pond to look for amphibians in their natural habitat. Geared toward young audiences; parents welcome. $3 per child.

A portion of the proceeds donated to Girls on the Run of Southeast Michigan.
