"What is it like to be twice-exceptional? A panel on ADHD & Teen/Adult Giftedness": Matthew Cunningham (Adult ADHD Facilitator/ CHADD Co-facilitator).

  community member   < less

What does it mean to be gifted or twice-exceptional? Typically, you have excelled in one or more areas of your life yet have had to cope with a disability which leads to interesting circumstances and winding paths. For this panel, we define it as having above-average intelligence or excelling in a career or creative endeavor but also having to cope with ADHD.
You'll be having a panel of 4 exceptional people come and share their personal and/or professional experiences of ADHD and Giftedness:
Geri Markel - an executive coach sharing her professional insights of what it is like to work with twice exceptional individuals.
Doug Harris - has had many experiences in college, law school, and neurobiology.
Terry Matlen - clinical social worker/psychotherapist. She is the author of "Survival Tips for Women with ADHD."
Mike Fedel - a successful software developer, musician and college-level lecturer.
