Blind Pig: The Paths
This U-M student indie rock quintet celebrates the release of its debut EP. pening acts are Captain Ivory, an Ypsilanti rock 'n' roll quintet whose influences range from Muddy Waters to Led Zeppelin to Radiohead and Jack White, and Citizen Smile, a Detroit indie pop-rock band.

Folk-oriented songs with Celtic and country flavors by the suburban Detroit singer-songwriter duo of guitarist and mandolinist Jere Stormer and guitarist and violinist Marilyn Driggs, who also perform original takes on folk and pop tunes.
Elks Lodge: Ingrid Racine Quartet
Former Nomo trumpeter Racine leads her jazz quartet in original compositions that reflect her R&B, hip-hop, rock, and modern jazz influences. With guitarist Chuck Newsome, bassist Eric Nachtrab, and drummer Rob Avsharian.
Habitat Lounge: Soulstice
Hard-driving horn-fueled funk dance band from East Lansing.
Alley Bar & Grill: The Mark Maze Band
Classic rock 'n' soul by this Detroit-area dance band led by vocalist Maze.
Live: Drivin' Sideways
Veteran local band fueled by Pontiac Pete Ferguson's alternately soulful and ornery vocals. Their country-based repertoire still features lots of classic honky-tonk, but they also cover everyone from Chuck Berry and Johnny Burnette to the Beatles and James Brown. With guest guitarist Jimmy Grant, bassist Pat Prouty, drummer Mark Newbound, and keyboardist Jim King. 6:30-9 p.m.

Local self-styled "lounge-a-billy" trio that plays vintage swing, rockabilly, and blues. With upright bassist Todd Perkins, guitarist Pete Bullard, and drummer Tom Twiss.
Rush Street: Legendary Wings
Local jazz quintet that focuses on dynamic, challenging, and less commonly heard music from the modern jazz repertoire interspersed with free improvisation. The usual lineup features saxophonists Dan Bennett and Tim Haldeman, Fender Rhodes electric pianist Matt Endahl, bassist Jordan Schug, and drummer Nick Collins.
Silvio's Organic Pizza: Isosceles
Versatile local acoustic trio that plays a mix of jazz, swing, country, pop, and folk. With vocalist Shekinah Errington, bassist Tim Berla, and guitarist Jim Cooney. Tonight's show includes several songs from its brand-new debut CD, Tricycle.
Woodruff's: Paul's Big Radio
Rootsy country-pop band led by local singer-songwriter Paul Lippens. Opening act is Corndaddy, a local alt-country band led by singer-songwriters Kevin Brown and Jud Branam whose music filters early 70s country-rock through the influences of bluegrass, power pop, and British Invasion bombast. 6-9 p.m.
Woodruff's: The 1's and 2's
Stevie Wonder/Motown tribute band. Opening acts are Maria Rose & the Swiss Kicks, a Detroit-area trio led by Flint-bred singer-songwriter Maria Rose that plays soulful, gritty indie pop- rock, and Sean Duffy, a local singer-songwriter.
