Necto: I Am Not To Be Trusted IV
I Am Not To Be Trusted, the monthly techno event series at the Necto in Ann Arbor, raises its profile in January with the arrival of Rrose for an Official Movement Pre-Party. Dubmonitor.com, the creator of the IANTBT series, has teamed up with Paxahau to bring in one of the most highly anticipated artists of the underground techno scene. Rrose, whose pseudonym and cross- dressing stage persona refer to the transvestite alter ego of 20th-century conceptual artist Marcel Duchamp, performs a hard-edged, minimal techno that electrified the the Underground Stage at Movement Electronic Music Festival last year. For those who have been waiting for another chance at this serious electronic dance music experience or for their first, the excellent sounds will be found on January 25th in the Necto's Red Room. Advance tickets: $10 ($15 at the door). 9 p.m.-2 a.m.
