The Ark: Lehto & Wright

The highly regarded Minneapolis duo of singer-guitarist Jim Wright and guitarist Steve Lehto performs traditional American, English, and Irish music, along with some folk-rock originals. “Wright’s wiry voice has the perfect sort of raw edge for these gritty arrangements. If you’re a fan of electric folk or just great guitar playing, Lehto & Wright are worth your attention,” says a Dirty Linen reviewer. Opening act is The Raisin Pickers, a veteran Manchester-based string ensemble that plays old-time jug band dance music, western swing, and newgrass. $12.50. [venue info]

Conor O'Neill's: Traditional Irish Session

All invited to join or listen to an instrumental jam session. [venue info]

Elbow Room: Todd Osborne

Live at PJ's: Phil Ogilvie’s Rhythm Kings

This local 10-piece big band is one of the few to specialize in the old-time big-band music of the late 1920s and early 1930s associated with Jelly Roll Morton and King Oliver. Arrangements by the renowned early-jazz pianist James Dapogny and tubaist Chris Smith. [venue info]

Old Town: Jay Stielstra Trio
