Smoked Out

Saline BBQ closed for good

by Billie Ochberg

From the September, 2017 issue

Smoke BBQ (formerly Downtown Diner) is permanently closed. After an April fire, the restaurant's voicemail message said it planned to reopen in a month, but repeated attempts to reach the owners over the summer failed. Bill Kinley of landlord Phoenix Co. confirms that the restaurant is not reopening. "We will be leasing the space for office use," says Kinley.    (end of article)
