We received forty-six entries correctly identifying the Fake Ad for Saline Scrap Metal on page 32 of the Spring Community Observer.

“Wow, could you please tell me where 2639 N. Michigan Ave. is in Saline?” asked Larry Hieber. “I was born, raised and lived in Saline all my life. I have delivered the Ann Arbor newspaper in the city, worked at the Dairy Queen and R&B Machine Tool on Michigan Ave. To this day, Michigan Ave. runs East and West, depending on which way you’re going, not North.”

“I really needed to get rid of some junk,” wrote Saline’s Jan Schmid, “but when I talked to my son about this ad he reminded me that Michigan Ave. ran east and west, not north.”

Rose Carol Toth, also of Saline, won our drawing, and is taking her gift certificate to Ann Arbor’s Downtown Home & Garden.
