Passport on South State

Closings

by Sally Mitani

From the January, 2013 issue

Passport restaurant and lounge on South State closed October 15. Owner Jenny Wu, who also owns two Lucky Kitchen restaurants, said she couldn't talk because of pending legal issues. State licensing records show the Passport liquor license to be in escrow, with several violations for selling to minors. Passport, which opened in 2010, was Wu's first full-service restaurant. Her mother opened the first Lucky Kitchen on Plymouth Road in 1993; Wu later started another one on campus with her husband, Jin Huang. Both Lucky Kitchens remain open.    (end of article)
