Q. Are we living in a liberal bubble?
A. There are differing measures of liberalism. A 2010 study ranked all 3,007 American counties based on ten criteria; Washtenaw was the seventeenth most liberal. It was one of just 487 counties that Hillary Clinton carried in 2016.
When livability.com listed the country's "10 Best Cities for Liberals" in 2014, Ann Arbor came in seventh. The same year, data analytics company Clarity Campaign Labs named Ann Arbor the most liberal city in Michigan.
