Kildon Chon Buys Miki Campus
the corner of South U and Forest his own, changing the name to K & C Sushiya (sushiya means sushi bar, and K & C refers to his initials). He also added sashimi, more choices for udon dishes and hot pots, and fun small plates that might make a good entry point for undergraduates unfamiliar with Japanese food, like the "banana hama roll" (deep fried banana and sweet potato) and Sunday morning roll (salmon and cream cheese).
The space has been a restaurant for years, anchoring the University Towers apartments above. Before Miki Campus, it was a branch of New York Pizza Depot, and before that, King of Queens, both of which also have some of their history recounted above.
