The liquor store on Packard east of Platt, formerly Chiparu’s Party Shoppe, is now I Love Liquor. New owner Dennis Zaitona uses a heart emoji symbol on his sign rather than the word “love” and says that he pronounces it both “I Love Liquor” and “I Heart Liquor.”
Zaitona is still completing some renovations, but says so far they’ve changed the counters and added more coolers and shelves. Why the emoji? “Just something different,” he says with a shrug.
