We received 167 entries correctly identifying last month’s Fake Ad for Dominick’s Pizza on page 82 of the December issue.

“Zawackier than ever!” wrote Gregory Tucker, referring to the last name of the previous winner, Sonia Zawacki, which was contained in the ad copy, “… pizza. Wackier …”

“I absolutely loved ‘my’ ad for Dominick’s Pizza on page 82,” Zawacki herself wrote. “My daughter was ecstatic when she found it, and is creating a fake gift card to Dominick’s for her dad as a Christmas gift. As always, thanks for the fun!”

The name of the pizza place, of course, refers to the store where Domino’s founder Tom Monaghan first started selling pizza. On a related note, Susan Horvath wrote in: ” My husband rented office space at Domino’s Farms for many many years. Domino’s Farms used to have an in-house pizza store that tried out various variations. The gimmickiest was a Thanksgiving pizza. I don’t remember all the ingredients but they included turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce.”

Yuck.

Our winner was Cathy Strachan. She’s taking her gift certificate to Zingerman’s.

To enter this month’s contest, find the fake ad in the January issue and follow the instructions in the box at the bottom of the Back Page. The fake ad always contains the name of last month’s winner in some form.
